What’s is stopping us

We are supposed to be of the body of Christ, a body is a unit. We are supposed to be of one mind, and one goal. What is that goal that we are given, is it to divide the word of truth, or is it to spread the gospel of Christ?  It is not to bicker and fight over doctrine or over how we understand the Bible, or our personal interpretations.

Yet we sit the opposing churches doctrine and say they are wrong. I would like to point out that to an unbeliever one church calling another church wrong and both preach the gospel of Christ makes that seems hypocritical. My point is that the people we are trying to bring to Christ are seeing, and hearing this.

So why do we do this, is it pride, is it the devil? Is it we need our version to be right in order to preach the gospel? Lord I hope not are we so petty that we would become a stubbing block over the gospel to be right. Don’t get me wrong doctrine has it place within a congregation.

What we can do

If church wants to dispute doctrinal difference, then they should go behind a closed door and leave it there or agree to disagree and ask the Lord when he comes back.

Until then keep it between the churches and out of public view.

Stop nit picking each other over views and just preach Jesus Christ to those who do not know him. The churches that preach the gospel of Christ, working together in a community more people would be reached with the wonderful gospel of christ.

forming and maintaining relationships

I know it sounds like universalism. But connecting with each other through our Lord and Savior, after all everyone that is saved is saved trough Jesus. Some might say that that we are only suppose to be unified with the church that we’re members of which they might be right.

I believe that if a revival happens it not going to be limited to one church. That it will be our communities that are woken up.

The reason

Jesus is worth us putting our disagreements aside and do something for Jesus. Doing what he wants us to do. To preach the gospel and introduce other to our Savior, that we all have in common.

I would like to see us unified in Christ; clearly we will not be in understanding of our Lord. But for the sake of Christ we can come together to preach the gospel. To raise up our Lord in our communities in our cities, in our country.

All church asks for revival they pray asking God for revival. Revival of course comes with the anointing of the Holy Spirit, as well as with the spreading of the gospel within our towns our communities our families.

I believe after we all set aside our arguments and just preach the gospel that we will have a revival, a real revival. But I know also that God not going to let that happen unless he says its time, our God is in control. So lets come together and pray for one another and do what we we’re meant to do, to preach the gospel.

What will you do?

I have meditated on this a lot. Over the years I have actually held different positions on this.
Ultimately, Jesus is our Example. What did He do? He taught the Gospel. But He also corrected the Pharisees and Sadducees. If we don’t correct error, or what we believe to be error, we allow it to grow. It should be done in love, but it should be done. Publicly. Like Jesus did. Doctrine is nothing more than teaching. Jesus certainly did that.

Hebrews 5
12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

I accept that not everyone will agree and that is fine. I didn’t used to agree with me, either. But that is why I believe God allows denominations. It gives people reason to search for truth.

I agree following Jesus is the best thing to do. As you have pointed out he did correct individuals publicly. I also agree that correction should be attempted. My suggestion to correct member of different denominations in private rather than in public. Was to keep Christian from arguing in front of unbelievers. because the majority of the time nither party accepts the correction.

At least not at the moment if someone give and learns from it great. If not the people spectating who do not know the bible. Accept that the bible contradicts itself which i don’t think it does. Wy point was what instead of correcting someone we end up turning people away from the word of God. At the same time our God is sovereign, and nothing we do will stop it.

So perhaps I’m wrong for that. When we correct other are we doing it out of love. Part of teaching is studying the student figuring out what is the best way to teach them. even more so teaching thing of the bible i have stated before in waiting for the anointing. due to without that there is no understanding. i have suggested what i did out of experience other have accepted what i taught.

I understand your view i am highly thankful for your comment and agree with you to an extent. I’m going to hold my position to talk privately due to and i realize this apply to within a congregation but i think it apply to churches within out communities as well.

Mathew 18: 15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
